Meanwhile over at Juve v Lyon, the Ref and VAR officials should all have been sacked at Half Time and never allowed near a football game again. 2 outrageously bad penalty decisions. The second of which was clearly given to Juve to even up the first absolute howler! You'll have to see it to believe it.

How VAR makes the game better is beyond me? The Juve Penalty was a joke, after seeing that can see some managers telling players when taking a free kick and the wall is in the box, aim for arm height, odds are very high someones arm will at least get a minor graze as the ball flys in at maximum speed..........
Ronaldos other goal was very good mind!

Post Ronaldo there isn't anything special about Madrid now. Man City on a different level to them. City should win this thing now all being even.

Just watched Manchester city / Real Madrid highlights.
Varane is an easy scapegoat, but I thought Courtois was part responsible for first (pass put Varane under unnecessary pressure) and he didn't even try for second. Varane looked first and Jesus wasn't there... Once ball had bounced, Courtois should have been screaming "OUT!"
Don't really give a shit, obviously. WITHOUT fake crowd noise, was like watching practice.

Didn’t see the game but the Spanish teams are at their lowest ebb for a long time and Man City have their best ever chance to win this.
Real haven’t replaced Ronaldo and Bale has been on holiday so they are well short of what they were.
And Barcelona are worse. An ineffective team getting old and have totally snookered themselves but a couple of eye watering transfers spending £250m on Coutinho & Dembele.
Have ended up in a situation where they have to get a bunch of players out when most teams don’t want them or have the money.

I hope Barca do well tonight and in this little tournament.
They still have great players and it is difficult to understand why they do not add up to a great team.
